HOW KYBELLA® WORKS
The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable double chin reduction. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

How do I know if Kybella or Coolsculpting double chin fat reduction treatment is right for me?
If you have a lot of chin fat, you will need multiple treatments of Kybella, at which point, it may be cost prohibitive to choose this treatment to reduce fat under the chin and we would recommend Coolsculpting. Coolsculpting Mini on the other hand, can reduce large amounts of fat under the chin. Sometimes a combination of the two treatments is recommended to first debulk the fat under the chin with Coolsculpting and then contour the neckline with Kybella. Either of these two chin fat reduction treatments will improve your selfie and confidence.
